Mechanism of action
The simulations were done by the Fraunhofer IFAM, Bremen. The purpose was to show the behavior and interactions of Additive G50 in fluids (like water)and on different surfaces (hydrophilic and hydrophobic).

Temporary corrosion protection Additive G50 can also act as a temporary corrosion inhibitor, i.e. for transportor storage of aluminium and aluminium alloys.

“Additive G50 can provide a better protection than the standard treatment with SiO2 / Silanes and a further enhancement in combination with SiO2 / Silanes.
“In the current R&D process Additive G50 has been tested in many different ways, for example by: Salt spray test, Current density potential curves,REM/EDX(Energy-Dispersive X-ray Analysis), XPS(X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy), DPD(Dissipative Particle Dynamics) simulations, Effectiveness according to DIN 51 360-2 (cast iron test)
